Tricia Brouk is based in New York City where she gets most of her inspiration for choreography. Walking down the street, riding the subway, eating at a local diner or having a martini is all dance happening in the moment. Her dance career spans the U.S. and Europe having worked with Lucinda Childs, Robert Wilson, Big Dance Theatre and many others. She recently received a "Golden Thumb" award from Roger Ebert for her work in "Romance and Cigarettes". Her show "Groove Is In The Heart" can be seen on the Dance Channel of PodcastGo.com.
Besides performing, Brouk choreographs for Film and Theater. She has created work for the A-Train Musicals, including "Manhattan Bound" a full length musical that was created and performed in one week. She created dances on Tracy Thoms of "Rent" and Kevin Townely of "My Super- Ex Girlfriend". Brouk also choreographed a short musical directed by David Brind at the New World Stages for "Get Off" a benefit for Off Broadway including Stephanie D’Abruzzo (Avenue Q ) and Cady Huffman (The Producers), and Jeb Brown (Ring of Fire). She choreographed "Drift" written by Craig Pospisil, directed by Jeremy Dobrish based on the concept album "Drift" composed by Jeremy Shonfeld. The cast included Christian Campbell (Reefer Madness) and Jarrod Emick (Boy From Oz), and Joe Ricci (Saturday Night Fever). Tricia also choreographed "Love Sucks" a punk rock musical directed by Andrew Goldberg. In addition to her work in the theater, Tricia choreographed John Turturro’s full length Savage Musical "Romance and Cigarettes" where she created dances from character study on James Gandolfini, Kate Winslet, Susan Sarandon and Bobby Canavale. She also choreographed Lasse Hallstrom’s "The Hoax" with Richard Gere and Julie Delpy.
